This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is a 327/250HP car equipped with a Powerglide automatic transmission and finished in Nassau Blue. The current owner purchased it in 1992 from Corvettes of Houston, and has added 6k miles behind the wheel to the believed-accurate 86k total odometer reading. This example is equipped with power steering and working factory air conditioning, and was last serviced in May of this year. This Corvette is being sold with records back to 1991, and a clean New Jersey title.
The seller states that the car has never been fully restored. The wheels are fitted with the optional ribbed aluminum covers with knock-off style centers, as denoted by this 1965 Corvette model guide. For 1965 the covers received contrasting paint on the inner part of the fins. This example is fitted with rear-exit exhaust, and correct 1965 and up rocker panel moldings.
Some bubbling is present under the Nassau Blue paintwork, on the fenders, cowl, and elsewhere as detailed in the gallery below. A small chip is present in the driver’s door near the door handle.  Corvette badging throughout the car has intact enamel and chrome.
The interior is trimmed in blue vinyl, and shows minimal wear and tear. AÂ correct radio is fitted and the seller states that all of the gauges work including the clock. The A/C was pressure tested and serviced in May of this year, and is working properly.
Instrumentation works as it should, and the 86k miles indicated are believed to be accurate.
The base package 327 cubic inch, 250 horsepower V8 is unmodified and is backed by a Powerglide automatic transmission. No deviations from stock are noted apart from an upgrade to DOT 5 silicone brake fluid. In May of this year the car received its Spring service, including an oil change, checks of all fluids, and adjustment of the ignition points.
The engine is original to the car and the partial VIN stamping is visible above, reading 8118133.
Several photos of the underside of the car are provided in the gallery below.
Service records are available from 1991 through the present day.
