This 1985 Jaguar XJ12 Series III Sovereign is a European-market example that currently shows 30k miles. Imported new from France to Virginia, this car was purchased by the owner of a Jaguar shop in 2010 and then sold to a long-time customer in 2015. It is equipped with a 5.3L V-12 that sends power to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission. The most recent service was conducted in 2015 and included a fluid service, shocks, brakes, four new tires, and electric cooling fans. The car has reportedly been driven sparingly since, and the A/C drier and compressor were replaced in November 2017. Features include Pepperpot wheels, a period-correct retro radio, and heated front seats with red piping. This Jaguar is now being offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean New Jersey title.
Series 3 XJ12 Jaguars were made from 1979 to 1992, and the later V-12 cars are designated by the Sovereign badge seen above. The single stage paint can use a thorough buff according to the seller. Pepperpot wheels are equipped and wear four new tires described as new.
The headlight wipers are inoperable and the hood prop in the engine bay is missing.
Front seats are equipped with heaters and feature red piping. There is a Garmin navigation/backup camera/USB hardwired into the car. The A/C is said blow air but is not cold, and aftermarket pedal covers have been installed as shown above.
Just over 30k miles are shown on the six-digit mechanical odometer.
The fuel-injected 5.3L V-12 has two valves per cylinder and is paired with an 3-speed automatic. A brake and oil service was conducted in 2017. Independent suspension and a limited-slip differential were standard equipment for V-12 powered series 3 XJs. Factory-rated output when new was 290 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque.

The Carfax indicates no theft, accidents, or other issues. A 1985 registration in Virginia is shown, with a 28k mileage entry given in 2005.
