This 2001 Acura Integra Type R is finished in Nighthawk Black Pearl over an Ebony cloth interior. It was acquired by the seller in mid-2019 from its previous owner, who reportedly had the 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four rebuilt at Portland Speed Industries in Oregon. The clutch for the five-speed manual transaxle was also replaced at that time, and additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a factory rear wing, 15″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Bilstein struts, a Mugen exhaust, and an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. This DC2 Type R is now offered with the removed factory stereo, manufacturer’s literature, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The Type R features restyled bodywork and a rear wing from the factory. This car reportedly is one of 517 examples that were finished in Nighthawk Black Pearl (B-92P) for the model year. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown in detail in the photo gallery below, including Type R badging on the sides and rear of the car.

The factory 15″ x 6″ alloy wheels reportedly were powdercoated in a darker color under current ownership, and they are mounted with 195/55 Falken Ziex ZE950 all-season tires. Bilstein struts have been fitted.

The cabin features Ebony cloth (Type D) upholstery with red stitching, and equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and locks, a 50/50 split-folding rear seat, an aluminum shift knob, and more. A Pioneer CD player with SiriusXM and Bluetooth connectivity has been installed, and the removed factory stereo will accompany the sale.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 10k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a six-digit mechanical odometer that shows just under 204k miles, of which the seller has added approximately 800. The accompanying Carfax report indicates that a “Not Actual Mileage” title was issued in Wisconsin in 2010, although no indication of a rollback is noted.

The 1.8-liter B18 inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing, dual overhead camshafts, and four valves per cylinder to produce a factory-rated 195 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. A Mugen exhaust has been added, and power is delivered to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The engine reportedly was rebuilt under previous ownership at Portland Speed Industries in Oregon, and the clutch was also replaced at that time.
