sfbay.craigslist.org

Car was fully restored approx. 8 years ago - full frame off restoration. Drives and feels like a dream. Car starts first try when cold. Always stored the car inside and driven very little since restoration. Brand new Coker Radials just installed.

I've owned the car for over 2 years and have receipts for work done on the car.

Additional Info:

6.5L V-8 (390 c.i.d.), Overhead valves, 345 HP.

The flagship of the General Motors line, Cadillac has always had a tradition of refinement and luxury. Routinely setting the industry standard, Cadillac was the first car to have a self starter (1912) and first to have safety glass and a synchro-mesh transmission (1929).

The post war economic boom couples with the unprecedented American demand for cars allowed GM to design chief Harley Earl the freedom to make sweeping sheet metal changes with each annual model. With Cadillac taking the lead, GM Cars of the '50s adopted styling from airplanes and rocket ships, both real and fanciful. Americans wanted more power for air conditioning, power options and highway cruising; they wanted cars with the comfort of a fashionable salon and distinctive styling that would signal their station in the world. The 1959 Cadillacs, perhaps the most memorable of all '50s cars, gave GM's customers exactly what they desired. The Eldorado Seville, with a total production of only 945 cars, provided the ultimate in comfort, power and exclusivity in an American production car.
