The only factory Stage III 289 Street Cobra ever built One of the most highly optioned 289 Cobras ever with a staggering original 1964 MSRP of $8,684.05 Delivered new to Frye's Ford of Belleville, Kansas Documented factory options include the Stage III 289 CI engine with Weber carbs, hood scoop and cold air box, polished American Racing magnesium wheels, auxiliary hardtop, side curtains, front and rear sway bars, oil cooler, aluminum rocker arm covers, front grille guard, rear bumper guard, wind wings, sun visors, heater, seat belts, radio with antenna and a custom exhaust system that rerouted the standard exhaust under the car with all four pipes passing through glasspack mufflers and quad chrome tailpipes. Originally finished in Princess Blue but changed to Rangoon Red for the original owner by Shelby American in 1964 Purchased in 1972 by Shelby collector Les Lindley, who kept the car until 2011 Painstaking four-year meticulous restoration by Steven Juliano and Dave Riley using only NOS and original parts throughout, including tires and service items, completed in 2018
