1977 Toyota Celica

www.hemmings.com

Offered for sale is a 1977 Toyota Celica that has not been restored in any manner whatsoever. This truly is a time capsule survivor car, and may be a handful of its kind. Original items included are the doormats, radio with cassette player, rims and gas cap. Even original is the ignition key.

I am the second owner of this beautiful car, that was purchased two years ago from an estate in Ohio. This car is 100% rust and bondo free with no prior accidents. The pictures and video speak for themselves. Granted, less expensive first generation Celicas can be bought, however this car is is "plug and play" and needs no repair nor any restoration.

The odometer on this car reads just over 40,000 miles. It is a five digital odometer, that read 35,000 miles two years ago when I purchased it. I have no way of proving that the odometer has not rolled over, yet the condition and handing of this car suggests that has always been very well cared for and may indeed be correct!!

Please note this car does not come with air-conditioning or power steering. The ST model of the Celica were more "economic" thus did not have the features. Along with that, the car is a four speed manual transmission as the five speed first generation Celicas were reserved for the GT model. In keeping the original intent of this car, I have left everything alone. The original 20R engine runs fine without any oil leaks, and generates a whopping 96 HP.

Tires have recently been upgraded and are rasied white letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A P215 60/R14 for all four tires. Wear is less than 2,000 miles on them.

For full disclosure this car has three minor flaws. The upholstery in the driver's seat is beginning to show some wear as shown in the photos and video. In addition, the original paint has a flaw where the previous owner buffed away some paint and the very top of the hood. Lastly the cassette player needs repair, and is currently not functional. Please refer to video where all are fully disclosed.

I am selling this car as for the sole reason that I have lost my passion for the antique car hobby, and wish to pursue other ventures. This car needs absolutely nothing, and my deepest wish is it will go to a home that will lovingly care for it as it has been these past 42 years.

I am available to answer any questions, however my price is firm. Clear Florida title is solely in my name. Thanks for looking

Price: $19,995 firm
