Armored Bulletproof SUV

miami.craigslist.org

NOW $25,000! This is a real ARMORED vehicle. UN decals removable. The term Bulletproof here does NOT mean the common phrase for "anti-beat-up-able" kits installed on some 4x4's and F250's. This late model Toyota LandCruiser has the RhinoPak system, a one-way bulletproof RhinoGlass NIJ Level III tested materials, which means this vehicle is designed to protect up to National Institute of Ballistic Standards- NIJ018.01 - Level III firefight. You can shoot a pistol out but the assailant can not shoot in. The installer said the doors are equipped with the equivalent in thickness to a Dyneema™ composite that would be used to protect to NIJ level III. The RhinoPak is a field expedient armoring solution that protects occupants primarily from direct fire weapons and smaller explosions. It is a lightweight aftermarket retrofit package, so this vehicle has a faster and easier mobility than similar bulletproof retrofits. Engine and transmission recently overhauled, new tires, clean title, Florida registration. Private seller. VIN # upon request.

Comes with letter of authenticity from the company which installed the RhinoPak on our vehicle. Comparable armored kit installs run $70,000 or more.

The actual installation of the RhinoPak kit on this vehicle is featured in this YouTube video published by the company (TheArmourGroup) which installed it: Watch video from 2:02-3:32 to see this EXACT vehicle being outfitted at their factory.

One of a kind. Need to protection? East paint job will cover the UN marking but heck, that's what makes it unique.

I rescued it from an estate sale of a Florida man (deceased) who had government contracts to build Armored vehicles. My husband was a customer of his selling him the liquid resin that's part of process that makes the windows ballistic safe.

This vehicle was built for two reasons they said... to make a detailed video to show customers how the armored kits are installed- which can be seen on YouTube on the craigslist link above- and as a sample car for a UN contract they bid on. He got sick and died, so they never got the contract but kept the armored UN vehicle as a "show car" until his only heir to the business decided to liquidate the company.

I bought and fixed it up, but we are moving soon to a smaller home and 4 car garage is not in our future. The Land Cruiser has been kept inside, under cover for more than than a decade. Still is... It's a cool vehicle.
