For sale is one of the most exclusive and sought after limited-edition Mercedes-Benz models, the CLK DTM AMG Coupé. A special road-going version of the racing car driven by DTM racer Bernd Schneider in the German Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters racing series, only 100 examples were produced, all of which were distributed by special order or invitation-only to clients such as F1 drivers Jenson Button and Takuma Sato.

The DTM is powered by AMG's supercharged 5.4 liter V8 producing 582bhp. Acceleration to 60mph is 3.8 seconds and top speed is limited to 200mph. Height-adjustable spring/shock absorber units are fitted all round and the suspension bushes are stiffer, while the DTM's redesigned rear suspension owes little to that of the stock CLK.

This example has had only two previous owners and has covered 5,000 miles from new. Accident-free with original paint and panels, it comes with all its original books, handbook, service book and European Certificate of Conformity and recently received a full service by a Mercedes-Benz main dealer. The car is fully federalized and road legal under Show and Display rules in all states except California, where it will require CARB certification.

Very rare and thrilling to drive, these cars do not come to market often, so this represents a great opportunity for the serious enthusiast/collector.
